I have been working as a Blacksmith since 1996 and before that I was a master cabinet maker. I needed carving chisels for a classical wood carving commission and found that I needed a number of new chisels at $35 each. All my profit would be put into them. I had always been intrigued with a cousin that learned his trade as a blacksmith on a whaling ship out of Glasgow Scotland in the early 1900's. I remember watching him forge a miniature anvil out of a piece of rail. I found a blacksmith in Port Townsend, WA who was giving a 2 day seminar and signed up. I made one chisel in the 2 day class and 2 more for a friend 10 years later. I have been smithing ever since that 2 day seminar.
